1. Overview & Core Privacy Commitment

Drain & Dose ("we", "our", or "the App") is engineered from the ground up as a privacy-first, 100% on-device recovery management application. We believe that your post-operative recovery, medication logs, fluid outputs, and personal health details are deeply personal and belong exclusively to you.

We do not collect, sell, rent, monetize, broker, or transmit your protected health information (PHI). All medical and surgical tracking data remains stored locally on your physical hardware in encrypted databases.

2. Collection of User Data — What We Do NOT Collect

Drain & Dose collects zero personal health information (PHI). When you use the app:

Medications & Dosages: Stored strictly in local device memory/storage.
Jackson-Pratt Drain Volumes & Colors: Calculated and stored on-device.
Patient Profile & Dates: Saved only in your device’s sandbox.

3. Cloud Storage Buckets & Data Deletion

We maintain ZERO remote cloud storage buckets for your medical uploads or logs. When you generate a clinical PDF report or export a .drainanddose caregiver file:

The files are generated 100% on-device in temporary memory.
No copies are uploaded or cached on remote web servers or S3/cloud storage buckets.
Deleting User Data: You can wipe all patient records, medication history, and drain logs at any time via Settings → Reset / Clear Data in the app, which immediately purges all records from your device.

4. Zero Third-Party Data Collectors & Telemetry

Drain & Dose contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or commercial behavioral trackers (e.g. no Google Analytics, no Meta pixels, no data brokers). We never track your behavior across apps or the web.

5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy & Transparency

We believe in full transparency regarding Artificial Intelligence:

AI in App Creation: AI developer assistance tools were utilized during software development to help human engineers write, refactor, and test application source code.
No Generative AI Operating on Your Health Data: The application does NOT send your private health logs to third-party LLMs or generative AI models. All schedules, intervals, and drain volume calculations use deterministic mathematical logic.
Safety & Zero Self-Harm Policy: Drain & Dose is strictly configured with safety guardrails (lockouts on PRN rescue medications, dose gap preservation) to protect against accidental overdosing or misuse. The app strictly prohibits self-harm or unsafe medication ingestion outside clinical orders.

6. Authenticity & Zero Fake Testimonials

We maintain a strict anti-deception policy. We do not publish fabricated user testimonials, fake doctor endorsements, or misleading claims.

7. In-App Purchases & Billing

Purchases of Drain & Dose Pro (Lifetime license) are processed securely by Apple App Store (In-App Purchases) and Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. We never receive or store your payment card numbers.
